Is it the end, or only the beginning?!?

I thoroughly enjoyed doing twetny-three things! I learned a ton throughout the semester. Starting with blogging in general. Before this class, I never even thought about having a blog or how it could benefit me. Now I know that as a future teacher I can look at other teachers blogs, or stay connected with my former classmates and see how everything is coming along! Learning about all of the RSS feeds, WIKI, and so mucg more. I will be using some of these activities in the future as fun ways the students can work more together and get to know each other. It can also be a way for the parents to keep up with the classroom.

Where do I go from here? I have already shown friends and family my blog. I am sure I will show students in the future to help them see some of the activities we may be doing. I am going to hopefully continue to have enough time every day to still read all of my RSS feeds, and the blogs that interest me. It is difficult competing in a world of social network like Facebook and Twitter, but I plan to still use blogs. It is a fun way to stay active with Web 2.0.

Really glad I participated in this throughout the class and kept up as we went along! Yay we are done!

Thing 19

Teacher Pop was very interesting. It is a way where teachers can all communicate and keep up with one another. It is similar to facebook in the way that you can comment, add videos and pictures, and you have friends. I would have never thought about a social network like this. I added a discussion, and a photo to the profile. The photo I added was of me and Cortland Finnegan, Tennessee Titans Corner Back. I added this photo because if anyone knows me they know I absolutely LOVE him!

Other social networks that interst me are Facebook, Twitter, and if I ever have enough time I would love to create a Pinterst. I hear it is very addicting, and cute. I love being creative, and that is what it is all about. Other than that, I am way to busy with school, work, and my social life to join many more social networks. Not saying there are no good ones out there, I just have not looked. Hopefully when life slows down, I will be able to devote more time to sites like Teacher Pop.
